Cheesy Garlic Bread Toasty
A simple but effective variation on the classic cheese toasty. This is great cut into fingers as croutons for tomato soup or minestrone and just as good as an after sport pick me up.
Yield: 1 Toasty
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
2 slices of crusty bread
Small handful of cheddar cheese
Small handful of Mozzarella cheese
Small handful of parmesan cheese
Pinch of garlic powder
50g butter
Switch on toasted sandwich maker.
Butter the insides of each slice of bread.
Sprinkle the onion powder and garlic powder over the butter on both slices of bread.
Sprinkle the cheese over one slice of the bread.
Close the sandwich and lightly butter the outside of one slice of bread.
Place in the toasted sandwich maker.
Don’t overdo or underdo the cheese. You don’t want so much that it oozes out uncontrollably. You also don’t want so little that the toasty is dried out.
Try a tastier version of this by adding more garlic and or onion powder.
Try this with a little dijon mustard added to one side of the bread
