Green Smoothie

1 cos lettuce
1 cup baby spinach leaves
1/2 cup coconut water, feel free to add a little more if you prefer a thinner smoothie
1/2 banana, skin goes into the blender
1/2 apple, skin and seeds and core go into the blender
1/2 pear, skin and seeds and core go into the blender
1/2 lemon, zest removed, seeds go into the blender
1 stick celery
almond butter, optional

Wash all fruit and vegetables.

Roughly chop everything, except the spinach and cos lettuce.

Place into the blender or vitamix.

Blend until smooth.

Pour into a jug and refrigerate until needed. This smoothie really benefits from being refrigerated.

Try this with more lemon. Play around with all of the ratios. I often add lime and an additional 1/2 red apple. I also sometimes add the skin of 1/2 lemon and 1/2 lime.
