Burger Patties
2 slices white bread, crusts removed and cut into small squares
70ml milk
1 tsp ground pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed, or garlic powder. You can omit garlic and still have a great result.
2 tsp kosher salt
3 tbs tomato sauce
1 kg minced beef
In a large bowl, mash the bread and milk together until a paste is formed.
Add the salt, pepper, garlic and tomato sauce, mix well to combine.
Add the beef and mix together using your hands until well combined.
Form the mixture into balls the size of small lemons or large limes, using wet hands.
Flatten the balls into patties about 2 cm high. Create a slight depression in the centre of each patty to prevent the burgers from shrinking while being cooked.
Fry, grill, or bbq the patties as desired.
